the first day of spring and I've just returned from a visit
with my twin sister at her small farm in New Mexico.
Beth has been keeping bees, chickens, and gardens for 30
years. It amazes me how she gardens in the dry desert
... in March the rows overflow with greens of all kinds.
Her homemade bread is a daily blessing, as are the pastel
eggs from the happy hens who range freely in the pasture.
It's a beautiful world there: big skies, hard work, the
daily inter-play with nature. The heart feels quiet,
the air clear, the water a constant
source of gratitude.
